More About the AuthorAbout Some Dog's Behaviorial Patterns
article by hkh
Dogs unlike Cats, are unique in their own species and no matter their breed, some can be aggressive and some are barkers. Some are great around kids and some aren't great around kids at all. Knowing your Dog takes time and understanding your dog, takes compassion and discipline as each one, like people of different races, has unique characters according to the generalization of dog characteristics.
With a dog, you definately have many considerations. First off, food and health requirements are first and foremost, then comes the changes within your daily routine. It's always best to let your dog outside at the same times every day. IF you are considering leaving your dog outside all day, this is not especially good for pups or newcomers into your home. Dogs will bark, howl, annoy neighbors, be fearful of people, fearful in the night and leave little bonding space between you and your dog. Those wanting a dog to serve as protection should consider a Training School, where there is time spent one on one with your animal under the guidance of a professional dog trainer.
Urinating - whether by need or for attention.
All too often, it occurs that folks want to rid themselves of a pet because of behavioral problems. Animals get put to death by the owner, some get given away and some just get thrown out the door by offended owners who are angry that an animal had the nerve to urinate-chew-vomit or other, in their home! Animals are not just a responsibility, they will always be like a small child that you have to look out for!
Most catch on fast because animals only seek to be loved and praised, not yelled at or to be physically punished. It has been proven however, that animals, much like an abused child, will intentionally do things that gets the owners attention. So whether it be for better or worse, if that's the way to get attention, then they do it.
If a Dog is ignored or often left alone and has a need to urinate but cannot get outside, accidents will happen.
If by chance, this "accident" gets alot of angry attention by the owner, the pet learns that to get "attention", he must urinate.
As the site builds, you'll find a list of certain actions that are common of animal behavior, what it means AND what you can do to stop it if you are willing to make a change of somekind.
Don't get me wrong! Some pets are outright bad, but some are understandable and CAN be changed if one can take a more broader look at the situation. It's amazing at what can be accomplished and the bond that it establishes between you and your companion.
