Known to those who have seen her as: L'il Girl! (but "Baby Girl" to us) The first time I saw this creature May long weekend 2004, she was playing outside the hedges of our local overflow campground, enjoying her nature weekend. However the next time I saw her, it was during the week, after all the campers were gone and she was cowering down the middle of the gravel road and crying out. I went into shelter #2 only 2 houses from the campground and shuffled some food in a plastic dish. She came running. I tried to pat her but I think she was quite shocked to be left alone for several days and was very mistrusting. She inhaled the food, then ran off to the campground. To only of known her name would have made a world of difference at the time.
Before long, Baby Girl became a regular around the smaller of the 2 shelters we maintained at the time. The picture to the right was taken in July 04 where she hung out in the nook of the hedges. This little gal came in to birth a kitten in the side porch where we enclosed her and have retained her since that time - (May 2005). As of updates (mar07) this little gal will let children near to her, but she will not allow any pats, she is still untouchable and mistrusting. Her kitten however, loved pats in spite of moms warnings and to this day is quite sociable. "His" name is - Bebies because of his loving nature.
