Meet Spazz Girl, a spayed tabby .....

Spazz Girl was found one hot summer's day (2003), living at the Recycling Depot, located in our village.
On top of being sick, her tail was broken in 2 places and the tip was missing. When we took her to the Vet, we were told that her injuries were not life threatening, so her tail remains the same. (and yes, you can still feel the breaks in her tail)
She wore a red collar with a bell and had a Canadian flag as her blankie!
As you can see by my grandson's face, he was pretty sad to see her like she was.
In spite of his protests, we did leave without her that day and went back later to tend to her eye and brought food with water. I had hoped that someone would claim her.
On the second day, I printed up posters and placed them around the village and by the third day, she was still there.

Fearful that harm would fall upon her, my grandson gave me every reason in the book to go get her and on the third night, I went to bring her home. There were 2 toms fighting over her, one being ol' Charlie, a large grey and white who's lived in the village "forever". He was defending her and the other appeared to want to make supper out of her, so she came home with me instead.
Spazz was then placed in the outdoor pen, by herself for 5 days, while administering Chlor Palm to help her health.
She was named for her sporatic spurts, not wanting to mingle and giving everyone a hard time.
Our sweet Baby Magic, was named for winning over Spazz and was her first companion. He'd nudge her and wait till she fell asleep to cuddle up to her. When Spazz would awake, she'd give him a swat, but Baby Magic didn't care, he'd coo her and try to cuddle up again. Finally Spazz gave up trying to push him away and gave in. Within the month, our sweetness was injured and had to be put down.

Since that time, Spazz has come a long way. We near lost her in Feb 2004, when she was taken into the Vet with 6 others and only 3 came home, the other 3 didn't make it.
Spazz is now "Alpha Female" of the group, and has been spayed with her first shots.
She is gentle, comes running when called by her nickname "Pazz", is attentive, alert and
l-o-v-e-s to play!
Spazz mingles well with the crew and pays attention to who gets along and who doesn't. She decides when a dispute is over, even with the males, unless there's good cause to let the guys decide amongst themselves.
She's a peace keeper and a lover!
