The end of 2004,
brought a global renowned disaster that literally rocked the world. All
were made to stop and think "what if it happened here or to me?". As much
of a disaster that the people suffered, imposed upon them by something
stronger than they could control, much the same happens to animals daily,
hourly, all over the world. Any loss of a living being under such
circumstances, is horrific! Please spread the word, to protect animals from harm and
pain.
Mike and Alexander California
U.S.A. $40.
We received an
additional bonus with this sponsorship! We received a picture of
"Alexander" the Cat, who was received with a big smile! "Alexander" is the
first to bless our new Board called "Pets We Love". Thank you for your
kind thoughts, your note and the picture, it is so much appreciated when
we have been so tight!
Anonymous $50.
With expenses being so
high during winter, this will help keep the shelters in function. We thank
you kindly for caring, for your thought and generosity in
Sponsorship.
Rosamond U.K. $20
Many thanks to
Rosamond, who is a supportive sponsor of the shelters. This funding went
to Mitten's special dietary needs, due to his kidney disorder. Mittens is
neutered and is seperated from the other males, to make sure he does not
eat anything other than his special food.
Jana Ca. U.S.A. $40.00
Jana's sponsorship has
helped Moonface get her medication for worms and parasites. In addition,
Moonface received special dietary nutrition during her deworming that has
shown great results in her fur and body
weight!
Anonymous U.S.A. $5.00
This kind soul who
wishes to remain anonyous - sent a wonderful Halloween note with a warm
and supportive message! Thank You for caring and
sharing.
Jana Calif. U.S.A. Moonface's Sponsor - Medical
Care - $25.00
Jana has chosen the
beautiful calico female named Moonface to Sponsor. Jana has also sent
additional medical supplies to prevent spread of viruses and disease
amongst the gang during winter confinement when there is less air
ventilation in both shelters. Thanks to Jana, several lives of the babes
have been saved. (now if we could just get her to move here and pay
her.....)
Steve Anonymous $500.
Sometimes occurances
can get just a little overwhelming. Life throws in it's twirps as we all
know and when you are already running a tight ship, it feels like that
water is sinkin the ship. Well this particular donation got us back our
heat due to mix ups in change-overs, lost files and a complete rig a ma
roll of events. Thanks for seeing what we were going through and keeping
us afloat!
Josie Ab. Canada For Being There.
A special thanks goes
out to my daughter who is there in times of need! The Need to get to the
vet in emergencies - no matter what time it is, the need for extra cat
food and for the service of errands when out and about. This is in
thanks for the new collar, leash, first bag of dog food and yard sink that
was donated for "My Girl" the shelter's new dog, when she needed
it.
Kassie of Alberta Time Donations
I'd like to add a
special note here, in thanks for the spare pair of hands that Kass lends
with her gifts of "shredded newspaper" that we impliment into the kitty
litter. (it's a great absorbant, odor eater and helps us save on costs).
It can't be done any which way for fear that the babes get paper cuts, it
has to be done in shreds of half section and in 1" by 1" pieces, so that
the paper stays clumped and does the job, when mixed in with regular
litter. Thanks Girl for the bags you do up for me when I fall behind! I
know it takes hours.
Bravenet Journal Community B.C. Canada.
Bravenet.Com,- In lieu of
challenges all Shelters face, we keep a WebJournal as a means of letting
the public know what animals suffer as well as what we feel on a week to
week basis, dealing with issues that are "people imposed" upon the
helpless critters we take care of. Our Journal hopes to somewhat educate
people about pets and what happens when they get dumped or are sent
away!
Anonymous U.K. $50.
This is in honor of the
kind soul who wishes to remain anonyous - the donation bought a large bag
of Vet Food priced at $44.oo plus gst. Thank you for caring and sharing!
That fed all the babes for a little over a
week!
C. Rosamond U.K. $15.
Many thanks to
"Lucky_Star" who sent us the funds that assisted in the purchase of
Dissolution Formula for Mittens who has a urinary disorder. While at the
Vet, sending another to Rainbow Ridge, we were able to purchase the much
needed food for Mittens. Have a look at what this gal does with her
spare time at The-Sisterhood.Com. Thanks! It helped when we least
expected to need it.
Jana Retired Vet Tech California
U.S.A. Medical Supplies
Jana's generous
donation of health care supplies was much needed, especially after
"Jumper" was shot under the ear, on the neck, with a BB or Pellet
Gun. Jana has also made herself available to answer any questions I may
have and never hesitates to consult me to contact my vet if she is
uncertain about something. Jana is also moderator in our Pet Forum! Visit

James Avery Vulcan County Ab.
Jim's recent
donation was his old greenhouse for us to use as an Animal Pen, as well as
to assist in the blockage of wind and snow at Shelter #2. This will also
assist with bill costs and get us through the winters easier! Jim has also
assisted with donations of Cat Scratchers, trinkets and toys for the cats.
Mr Avery has also donated old wool blankets and pillows of good quality to
be used for bedding and other areas used by the
cats.
Anonymous Barrie Ont. $1,000
This donation was used
to pay for the healthcare of the animals during the time of sickness in
Feb and March of 2004. Nine animals took sick with a virus and only
three came home This virus took 6 of our loved ones within 10
days.(Clicks Coming Soon!) We are so very grateful for the assistance
given during such a terrible time - thank
you!
R. Kozak Alberta Canada Approx $100 monthly
in Food
Mr Kozak supplies the
shelters with 3 bags of Dry Cat food weekly! I then use these bags to mix
in with the better quality Vet's dietary food to assist in maintaining a
healthy diet for the growing number of animals that pass through or stay
in the shelters. The Vet food is also required weekly. Many thanks to Mr.
Kozak's dedication week after week, month after
month.
